Bureau of Labor Reports 244,000 Jobs Added in April

230,000 Private-Sector Jobs Added in March

The economy gained 216,000 jobs in the month of March.   The unemployment rate edge down to 8.8%, the lowest level since March 2009. The private sector added a total of 230,000 jobs, while local governments cut another 14,000 jobs. This brings the total net job gain for 2010 to 477,000. Source: Bureau of Labor …
